How to Prepare for a Curbside Junk Pickup Appointment
Last updated: February 17, 2026
Helpful starting point: curbside pickups are fastest when everything is staged clearly and boundaries are obvious. Most delays come from unclear piles, not loading speed.
Night-before checklist
- Create one clearly visible pickup zone
- Bag loose debris and tie bags
- Keep non-pickup items separate
- Leave a safe walk path around the pile
What to flag ahead of time
Heavy items, oversized furniture, glass panels, and anything above 150 pounds should be disclosed at booking.
What not to mix into curb piles
Hazardous or restricted materials should always be separated and discussed first.
